The L girls just crack me up every time we do a session! They are so expressive. This time the family came up to Bartlesville from Tulsa so we were able to go to some spots that I love.

They are going to have a baby brother in October and if he as half as cute as they are, he is going to be one fun little boy to photograph!

I have photographed the O Girls several times and this was my first time to do some family shots. The session's goal was to get some shots of Mom as she is expecting a boy (well- I am behind on blogging so he is actually already here and I am going to meet him tomorrow). Dad stepped in for a few shots and the girls did as well! What a beautiful family- I can't wait to meet their new one!

I knew Julie and Craig's day was going to be great because she is an organized, on-top-of-things gal. Boy, was I right! The wedding took place at Tarp Chapel in Broken Arrow and all of the hot pink and black details were delicately put in just the right places.

The day was a bit rainy but it always seemed to clear up just when we needed it to! The rain did not dampen Julie and Craig's spirits at all and their Bridal Party was a blast to work with.

Julie and Craig, thanks for allowing Chelsea and me to be a part of your day! It was a blast and best wishes for the future!

Aubrey and Michael

This sweet couple came to me through a referral and I am so glad they did! We met up in Bricktown and although it was chilly out and Michael was suffering from a cold- you would never know based on these shots! They were so fun and so willing to do whatever I asked them to do.

Their wedding is around the corner...in fact, Aubrey has started her countdown to July- I think she is excited :).

Big Girl M

I have know little Miss M for quite some time now. In fact, my husband and her mom were backdoor neighbors growing up. M is turning in to quite a little young lady. She is another sweet one that has electric eyes and her freckles and red cheeks add so much to her precious personality.

I love that her mom wanted to get these shots solely for the purpose of remembering what she looked like when she started losing her first teeth- so cute.

Two Year Old B

Does this little girl not have the most amazing blue eyes? They are just electric and her mom chose some great colors that made them pop even more.

Little B is such a cutie- I wish you could have seen her walk through the prickly grass without shoes- it was pretty funny. She was just not a fan of the crunchy grass between her toes.

J and M- thanks for asking me to do B's two year old pictures. I'll be anxious to meet her brother when he makes his debut in July!

Baby K

Baby K was two weeks old when we did his newborn session. He wasn't such a fan of being in the "buff" and much preferred sitting by the window, hat on, in a nice cozy basket- really though, who wouldn't?

11 Day Old Baby V

Baby V's Mom and I had talked way before Christmas to schedule Miss V's newborn session so it was so nice to meet her when the time finally came.

V is just as tiny as can be and so sweet. We also managed to squeeze in a few shots of her big brother A as he just turned 3 not too long ago. He has some pretty incredible blue eyes and a smile that is so contagious!

Baby E was 4 months old when we did his session and his smiles were just so cute. The sound of his parents voice was all it took to get a big grin out of him. I also love the shot of him in his Daddy's arms- just hangin' out like it's something he does every day...as relaxed as can be.

Sweet Baby G

Baby G was such a sweetie for his pictures. Although he was quite sleepy and wanted nothing more than a nap instead of his mother and I putting him in and out of a silly basket, he never really fussed. His mom is a great mom already- so caring and compassionate toward him. I love her choice of a simple white dress to go with his simple white onesie- a great combination.

Jessica and Brandon

If I could characterize Jessica and Brandon's day in one word- it would be laughter. Brandon is such a jokester as you can tell from several of these shots and Jessica is just as fun! They had a beautiful ceremony and church reception and then headed out to Camp Wah-Sha-She in Bartlesville to have a good ol' Dink's BBQ. If you are from Bartlesville- you know Dink's. If not, it is worth the drive to taste their AMAZING BBQ!

I love this cake shot- Jessica warned Brandon not to put cake in her face and then she nailed him with it!

Jessica knew that she wanted bird seed at her wedding, and a lot of it. I think she got what she wanted but I can't decide if this is funny or mean. I do know one thing- that the birds in Bartlesville were very happy after this wedding. Jessica and Brandon were such great sports- you would have never guessed that we did their "formal" shots after they were covered in pounds bird seed.

Drea- Senior 09

All I can say is, "WOW"...the camera loves this girl. It was hard for me to decide what to share! The great thing about Drea is that she is as beautiful on the inside as she is on the outside.

I had the best time toodling around downtown Tulsa with Drea, her mom, sister and her sweet little nephew. The weather was great albeit a bit windy...but the wind worked in our favor for a few shots. The last one might not seem like a typical Senior shot but I just love the model-y (yes, I made that word up) look it has too it.

Drea- best wishes with your upcoming and prom and graduation. God has great plans for you- just remember to seek Him first and everything else will fall in place!

Fight...

Now I typically do not encourage my two year old son to fight but in this instance we are talking a lot about fighting around our house. My husband's cousin, or Uncle Marshall, as we like to call him, was diagnosed this week with Acute Myelogenous Leukemia (AML). He was admitted to the hospital and immediately started on chemo. I know that I have many praying clients and friends out there in Cyber Space. So, please, say a prayer for Uncle Marshall...he is only 29 and in the fight of his life right now!

Also, even though he is so close to my age, I hurt for his parents (and Marshall too, of course). Being a parent makes me realize the hurt and questions that must be running through his parents' minds right now. What they wouldn't give to change places with him. So, please pray for them too- Peggy and Randy are their names and his sister's name is Becca.

7 Day Old Baby K

I know that Baby K's mom is probably checking this hoping that I am top of things and have some pictures for her to see. Surprise- I do!

Baby K was such a good sport (as were her parents who were each "blessed" during our session). This is one reason why newborn sessions are ideal to do in the first two weeks the baby is here.

Baby K has been born into such a sweet, loving, praying family. She is one lucky gal and I think she knows it based on the first picture in this set!

I just had to share this picture (the name of the innocent will be withheld:). Sometimes when I am doing newborn/ baby sessions and the cold air hits the sweet little naked babies- things happen. This is one instance where I was pressing the shutter at just the right time.

Sometimes "this" comes as a surprise to new parents so I typically tell them to come prepared with a change of clothes- for them, not the baby.

Have any of my other photographer friends out there in Internet land had this happen to them? No matter how often it happens, it still shocks me every time.

One Year Old C

When C was born he was just a little over 5 pounds. In fact, he was so tiny that we were able to squeeze him into a Pottery Barn basket for his Newborn pictures. Now, he is one and certainly not 5 pounds anymore- he has such a sweet personality and the same beautiful blue eyes and blonde hair that both his mom and dad have.

We tried to get Tyler's Senior pictures done last Fall but between his schedule and mine, it just didn't happen. He came up to Bartlesville during Spring Break and I just had to smile because I remember my "last" Spring Break in High School- it was almost as if you could taste graduation coming in May. He is feeling the same way...prom around the corner, graduation next- oh, how I remember those days. Sadly, they seem so long ago!

I recently saw some pictures where the photographer had the child with a fresh bouquet of flowers and I just loved how the images turned out. Since I don't have a little girl and Miss E recently turned 6, I figured she might be a good one to experiment with...the flowers would just not look the same if my son, Sam, were holding them.

So, here she is. I love how they turned out.

The shots where she has a huge grin on her face- well, she was talking about her favorite birthday present...her i-pod.

This session served two purposes...to get some two year old shots of M and then get a few of his baby brother that will be here in a few short weeks. A has such a beautfiul, perfectly round belly that all of us moms can be jealous of and M has grown so much since I last photographed him.

T Family, it was great seeing you again...always brings back some funny memories of how far we have come from the middle school years of big bangs and blue eye shadow (well, not you C, but A- you know what I am referring too)!

Since I am trying to play catch up with some older sessions, I thought I would post these of Baby C. He is not too much of a newborn any more but when we did these he was just 12 days old. C and T's mom and dad waited along time to have these two precious boys and they are super parents- loving, caring, gentle. They truly treasure the blessing they have in their sweet boys.

I have known Julie for what seems like forever. Her older sister and I played on the same soccer team when we were younger. So, when she e-mailed me about doing her wedding I had in my mind the little girl I knew from years back. She is certainly not that little girl anymore and has turned into a beautiful young woman who is marrying a very special young man.

We did this session back in November and the trees were still hanging on to a little bit of color. It was one of those lovely, Oklahoma days when the wind is just under tornado strength. Julie grew up here but Craig is used to Arizona temps- poor guy was so cold but you could never tell from these shots-he was such a trooper.

Ten Gallon Sam

I know that it is quite shocking for me to have two updates in two days but I had to share this image. This is my son, Sam. I have a new light set and have been trying to work out the quirks. The only test subject other than a chair is Sam and I figured you would much rather look at him than a chair.

Getting a two and half year old to cooperate while I adjust settings can be tricky so with the help of my sweet husband, this shot happened. He was dancing around which made for his gun being a bit blurry but I still love what this shot says, "Hey, Mom...look at me! I'll protect you from all of the bad guys out there!" Who wouldn't be scared, right?

Where Have I Been?

If I have any blog readers left out there, I have not disappeared nor have I gone out of business...the blog has just been on the back burner since before Christmas. I was finishing Christmas orders, editing the last two weddings of the year and then I took some time off to spend with my family. I am back in the swing of things and plan on going back over the last few months and posting some sessions.

I am going to start my updates with the last wedding I did in 2008. Jen and Craig had planned the details of the day and were hoping and praying for perfect weather for their outdoor wedding at Skelly Lodge. God was smiling on them because the day was amazing...not too warm, not too cold or windy- just right. Which, if you are from Oklahoma, you know that the weather can change in an instant. Not for their day- it was perfecto!

Amy and Adam

Amy and Adam's wedding was just beautiful. From the pink roses to the pink bells that were used to send Amy and Adam on their way, the thought put into all of the detail was obvious.

They were married at Holy Family Cathedral in Tulsa and it was AMAZINGLY GORGEOUS!

I just love the vintage look that Amy had about her- so classic. Is she not just stunning with her dark hair and dark eyes?

When I met Erica back in the Spring, I just knew she was going to be a stunning Bride...boy, was I ever right! The wedding was beautiful, the flowers absolutely amazing and the reception a blast. From the Dr Pepper and Amp that Erica and Jerid toasted with to the super-fun smoothie machines...the guests thoroughly enjoyed themselves.

Byron only my second Senior to "shoot" this year as I have been busy with weddings and babies. His mom asked me to take some shots of him on the railroad tracks because it is so symbolic of a High School Senior and the path ahead...the unknowns, the desire to grow up quickly and the hope that every parent has for their child to stay on the straight and narrow.

M Turns One!

The S's are my first clients to go from a maternity session all the way to a one year old session. This is another one where in watching her grow and change it makes me realize how little ones grow way too fast! I remember her parents wondering just a few sh0rt months ago if she would ever crawl and now they cannot stop her as she is a toddler on the go!

Their mom had all sorts of fun goodies for them to play dress up with...it still never ceases to amaze me how fast kids grow up and how savoring each moment with them is so important- it literally feels like yesterday that I was meeting them for the first time for their one year old session.

Love this picture with the look on E's face as J plays with her hair- too funny!

This session with the H family involved a few costume changes but E and J just went with the flow. E is now taking dance so her mom wanted to capture what she looks like in her costume.

For Miss J, it took a lot of hard work, some wet knees and some sweat but little J finally gave us a grin worth a million bucks. I now have two tutus on hand for my sessions so if you are interested in using them, let me know!

I think the two youngest M kids have the blondest hair I have ever seen! I thought Sam was blonde but they are snow white and all three are just adorable.

Rochelle and Staven

Last year, right about this time, a very dear friend of mine was getting married. My mother and I were in attendance at the wedding and happened to be seated by Rochelle for dinner. We both left wondering why in the world no one had yet snatched up this wonderful girl...little did we know that she and Staven had really just begun talking. A year later and they are married.

The wedding was amazing. All of the details thought out, the flowers arranged perfectly, Dresser Mansion was incredible and I was able to be there to experience this amazing union of husband and wife.

Staven is now back in the "desert" fighting for our county and his sweet Bride is patiently awaiting his return home. I hope these images help make the wait a little easier.

Rochelle and Staven, thank you so much for letting me be a part of your day. By the end of it, I truly felt like I had become a part of your family. Maybe I'll just have to make a trip to Illinois to say "Hi" one of these days.

The G Family

A kiss from little brother led to this....

The G family was great fun to work with...the boys are all boy and just too handsome. There are so many that I wanted to share it was hard to choose!

Their Daddy is a Marine and I love that they wanted to capture some pictures in uniform with the boys. You can tell how much they admire him. Seeing someone in uniform always makes me so thankful for the freedom that we have because of men and women like C. C, thank you for serving our country...you are truly never thanked enough.

The O Girls

The O Girls have a special place they like to go often- their Papa's feedstore. Bales of hay, horses, bunnies...they just love it there! C, their mom, thought it would be a great place to do an outdoor session and I think she was right! An old fence propped up against a barn was shaded just right to where it made the girls' eyes just pop with color. Best of all, they had fun because they were in a spot they knew well and loved.

C- I hope you like them- your blonde hair, blue-eyed girls are just too cute!

Sara B- Bride to Be

The weather did not quite cooperate for Sara's Bridal session but she was such a good sport and even braved the elements to get some beautiful shots.

Her dress is so classy and elegant, as she she is, and her veil was her mother's- how neat!

G Turns One!

I have been able to watch Baby G grow and change over his first year as his mom and I get together on a regualr basis for playdates...sometimes I think playdates are as much for moms as they are for our kids!

He is always fun to photograph because he has such blonde hair, blue eyes, creamy skin and a super cute smile.

By the time we made it to the cake eating pictures, it was almost nap time so he was pretty worn out and not too much in to the cake but we did get just enough shots to make a nice collage!

Baby J- 4 Months

This is the smile Baby J makes when his momma is talking to him- too sweet!

He was trying so hard to get all 10 fingers in his mouth at one time!

I photographed Baby J when he was 6 weeks old and my how he has grown in a few short months. I just love the look he gives his mom when she talks to him.

His mom and I also figured out something we have in common- I'll let you guess though. It has to do with Rooster Days and Broken Arrow- if you know me well enough- then you know what it is...

The Y girls came for two purposes- a maternity session and a four year old session. It was a rainy day but little Miss R had fun with her bright, pink umbrella.

And, in case some of these images look a little different than what I typically post, I recently went to a seminar that challenged me to try some new techniques in Photoshop. I really like how some of the textures added a depth and interest to the pictures.

J and P

Can you guess how old J is?

J and P were visiting family in Bartlesville so their Mom asked if we could squeeze in a session. It was my first time to meet Miss P and it has been a while since I have seen J. I remember the day J was born as he was the first little one for us to welcome into our Home Group Bible Study.

We miss them terribly but know they are loving Texas living- I am just glad we get to see them every now and then.

The S Boys

The S boys were a blast to chase around the "big pond" we have in Bartlesville. It amazes me how little boys can turn a session from a hug fest to a wrestling match in two seconds. It was also fun for me to watch what I saw as a pile of dirt turn into a sandbox for two brothers. Thankfully, we were almost finished, they really did not get that dirty and I personally love what the images captured-that these boys are 100% boy... so cute and so fun!

The R Grandkids

The R Grandkids do not live near their grandparents so when their grandma knew they were all going to be in town, she asked me come and photograph them. Even though it was on the verge of raining, the girls did a great job and we were able to squeeze a few smiles out of them!

I photographed Miss S earlier in the Spring and it never ceases to amaze me how quickly little ones grow and change. She was barely on the move when we first met and now as she getting closer to turning one, she is hard to catch!

I love this picture because it was right when we said, "Think of Staven...not much longer until you'll be getting married!" And, this is the smile we got- too cute.

I do not typically post Bridal Sessions before the wedding but Rochelle gave me permission too as she knows that her groom is half away the world and there is no chance that he will see these...Rochelle, you better be right!

Anyhow, it was quite hard for me to pick what images to share so I am sharing a ton. Rochelle is just as beautiful on the inside as she is on the outside and I think I am almost as excited as she is for her wedding because it is going to be just breath-taking. Two Year Old K

Mr K is just full of energy and quite the talker for a two year old. I just love his blonde, spikey hair and his contagious smile- too cute. The green shirt he had on was a perfect color for him- just made his eyes and hair pop!

His mom was able to get him to giggle when she tickled him with a LONG piece of grass. He thought it was pretty funny and I love the expression the picture captured!

The purpose of this session was to capture a few shots of all four of the A grandkids with Baby D as the newest addition to the crew. Since Baby D just recently had his own session, we focused on all four of the kids and then tried to capture a few of the 3 A's individually and together.

Jessica and Brandon- one word to describe them- FUN ! I think I have more pictures of these two goofing off than looking at me...which is just so cool. We did the typical "engagement thing" with them and then I asked them if they were up to getting wet. We found a fountain, they got in and the rest is history.

3 Week Old Baby S

Baby S's mother and I were the best of buddies growing up. Our families used to camp and boat together almost every weekend during our childhood summers. Well, as life happened and we all grew up, the summer camping and boated ended and S and I just grew apart. Nothing really happened, our lives just took different paths.

Well, we now have something great and wonderful in common...we are mothers.

Needless to say, I was honored when she called me photograph her son. This is one aspect of this "job" that I just love- catching up with old friends and getting to spend a little time with them as they enjoy their best moments.

S's mom made the trip to my "studio" as well and it was so fun to catch up with her too. She loves being a grandmother as much as my mom does and her fun is only just beginning.

I could go on and on, but I just can't express how fun this session was for me.

S, your sweet little baby is such a gift- treasure each moment, they grow too fast.

My Family...

When L's mom e-mailed me to take some pictures of her sweet little girl, she wanted to wait until she knew she was smiling. Well, as it usually happens, all of her smiling took place earlier in the day and by time she made it to see me, her poor parents got quite a workout trying to get some giggles out of her.

They finally did and the result in the teacup was just too cute not to share.

Senior 2009- M

I grew up across the street from M, in fact, I used to babysit her. So boy did it make me feel OLD when her mom e-mailed me about taking her Senior pictures.

It was early in the morning when we met for this session but we were able to get some great light and some great shots. M, I hope you enjoy your preview- the rest will be coming soon.

And, M's Dad owns and operates Baxters Interurban Grill in Downtown Tulsa. The carrot cake (along with everything else) is to die for. In fact, we served his carrot cake at our wedding and it was a hit with our guests. So, stop in, ask for Craig and tell him Betsy sent you- maybe, just maybe I'll get a piece of carrot cake out of it!

M and C's Mom contacted me before M was born but between ice storms and crazy Oklahoma weather, our sessions never seemed to work out. Little Miss M is now 5 months old and as cute as can be.

I laughed because it is always when you want babies to stay awake that they sleep and vice versa. Miss M did both for us- she was awake when we needed and gave us some sweet, sleeping shots that were unexpected but she made happen.

Big Brother C even hopped in for a few pictures but his trucks, Oreo cookies and Sesame Street had him distracted to where we only caught a few of him.

Thanks again M and a BIG thanks to your Mom for helping feed and watch my little one while we took pictures.

Eskimo Kisses from Daddy (Love this shot!)

Miss P turned the ripe old age of 3 in July and she is just too cute! Our families are great friends and even though they live far away, it is like they were never gone when we get together again.

M and A, you are so blessed to have sweet little P and I can hardly wait to meet Baby Boy P when he comes in December! I'll also be looking for that moving van as it makes it way back to Bartlesville from Houston :).

The W Kids

The intention of this session was to capture 7 Month Old C...but the older two jumped in and I just loved watching them play together. They giggle at everything little C does- whether he is pulling his big sister's hair, looking at the grass in his hands or just being cute, C and J think he is the best thing since sliced bread.

I'll never forget when their Mom first got in touch with me because she said the one thing she wanted captured was how much her kids love being together. They do and I love getting to be a part (even if it is only for a little while every few months).

These triplets were so much fun to chase around Woodward Park. They were great to do just about anything I asked and the result made for some fun pictures...look at the captions below the pictures to figure out what I was asking them to do!

When I first photographed the S family, it was close to Christmas time and their house was absolutely stunning with its Christmas decor. This time K asked me to come and do their Summer session at her parents' house which had some of the most amazing landscaping I have ever seen. The green grass, tall trees, flowers and gorgeous pool made this a fun place for me to work.

Four M's

This session served two purposes- to get Baby M at nine months and all four kiddos together.

I photographed Baby M at two weeks and boy has he changed! Take a look at his newborn session and then look at him now-- WOW! He was cute then and is just as cute now.

All four kids were fun to work with (as always) and even though we were all drenched in sweat by the time we finished, these four great kids still had smiles on their faces.

When A called me a few months ago to schedule this session, I knew it would be great fun for me. They are such a beautiful family.

Although Baby B was not to in to having his picture taken in the "buff", I think we were still able to capture some sweet family moments. And, I just love Big Brother's blue eyes and priceless expressions- how fun!

Over the Fourth of July weekend we went out to eat with our good friends and their little girl L. It was a perfect night to capture of few shots of her "blooming" personality.

She is such a cutie- it amazes me how much babies change in just a few short months!

Christine and Andrew

I met Christine when she was scheduled to get her hair done early the day of the wedding. Nerves had her stomach in knots but you could never tell by her sweet demeanor and calm spirit.

Christine and Andrew got married in downtown Sapulpa which had some wonderful murals that made for some great photos. The Bridal party was a blast and they were willing to do most anything I asked of them! The day was beautiful, the details thought out and the bride and groom stunning.

Andrew is proudly serving our country as a United States Marine. They are stationed now in Hawaii, far from family and friends, but I am sure they are loving the blue water and cool ocean air.

Christine and Andrew- thank you for letting me share in this day with you and thank you even more for serving our country. Christine, you now share a part in serving this great land that we live in. Thank you for giving so that we can continue to enjoy the freedoms that we do.

An Evening at Niagara Falls

We recently traveled to Buffalo, NY where we spent nearly two weeks doing everything from wings at the Anchor Bar to Niagara Falls to the Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown, NY. We had a wonderful time visiting family and enjoying the cool weather.

Baby H....Two Weeks

Baby A Turns ONE!!

Baby A started walking when she was 9 months old so sitting still was the last thing she wanted to do in her tu-tu. She definitely gave her parents and me a workout but it was a blast....between bubbles, Tickle-Me-Elmo and birthday cake, I think we were able to capture some pretty cute shots.

I am finally back with a stunning couple to start off my updates of recent sessions. Amy, Adam and I did this session on an early Saturday morning. So early in fact, we got caught in a 5K Run that was taking place.

We had a great time going all throughout downtown Tulsa and even made a few stops by some places that will play a significant roll in their November wedding.

Where am I?

I haven't disappeared or gone out of business :). I recently spent some time at Miss Oklahoma's Outstanding Teen serving as the Judges' Chairman. Go take a peak at the young lady who will be representing our state at the National Pageant in August- she is pretty amazing!

I have also been busy taking pictures of families, newborns, toddlers and this week an event at OK Mozart. I have several updates so keep coming back- you never know, you might just see someone you know!

The S Girls

This was my second time to photograph the S girls and my third time to photograph Baby H. Our goal was to get a picture of all three girls...little H was on a mission though and wanted nothing but to explore the park where we were. I just had to share the shot of her playing with her toes...such an 18 month old thing to do.

Once we got a shot of all three girls, it was H's turn to shine and her sisters were such great helpers...I wish you could have seen how hard they were trying to keep the bubbles coming.

Once J was worn out from having his picture taken, L and I ventured into the backyard and had some fun. It took her a little while to warm up, but once she did, she was a hoot. I love her silly faces and had to share a few. J, I hope you do not mind :)!

The Triplets!!!

My first time to photograph the P family was for the girls' first birthday. I have photographed them a few times since and it is a treat for me to watch them grow and change. They are just as cute as ever and just as busy as ever.

I have nothing but admiration for their parents (and grandparents who came to help). To say they are busy is an understatement. Even with the sometimes craziness that I am sure can come with having multiples, it is so obvious that their parents treasure them as the sweet little gifts that they are. And, I love how J took time to have her picture made with each girl individually- I am sure this is something they will love in the years to come.

J and P- it was great seeing you again. It always means the world to me when you call and ask me to photograph the girls...thanks.

Baby D...Coming Soon

Baby D's nursery is painted, his bassinet is up and ready, the maternity pictures have been taken- now all he needs to do is make his grand entrance into the world! I always reminisce when I do maternity sessions because almost two years ago to the day, I did mine and the very same day my son decided to come into the world...great timing!

Baby D's mother and I grew up in the same church and his father and I go all the way back to middle school...another flash from the past. J and S- it was great seeing you- thanks for allowing me to take these fun pictures. I am anxious to meet Baby D (but probably not quite as anxious as you are)!

Chris and Nikki

Chris and Nikki are getting married in a country style wedding this September and it is going to be so COOL! The location is fabulous- Prairie Song in Dewey, OK. It is an old, western town that is going to make an absolutely perfect spot for Chris and Nikki to say "I Do".

I was so thankful that we were able to do their Engagement Session at the same spot where the wedding will take place. I had a wonderful time with them and they were great sports (and left with a few chigger bites... note to self- bring bug spray next time).

I can hardly wait for their wedding....my wheels are already turning!

Oh, and in case you are wondering....yes, their dogs came with them, and yes, they will be in the wedding- how fun!

Updates and Bloopers

A lot has been happening lately...first, you might have noticed the new logo. Well, I actually have two new logos and would like to thank Summer (www.summerwyers.com) for creating them. She is amazingly talented...please, check out her website and see if she can help you with any of your marketing needs.

Second, this blog will now be serving a new purpose. Instead of it being my primary website, it will now be used to post updates, specials and recent sessions. I have a "real" website now that will allow clients to view and order proofs as well as serve as my main marketing tool. Keep in mind that it is still and will continue to be a work in progress as Gregory Photography continues to evolve and change.

Third...the bloopers. A few sessions ago, I said I would post some behind-the-scenes bloopers that sometimes occur. Typically my mom, mother-in-law or husband will watch my son during sessions but every once in a while, no one is available and he has to come with me. Thankfully, this session was in my neighbor's backyard so we were close to home and sweet C was such a good sport to help my son out (notice her hand in the pictures below) while I giggled at his expense and snapped away.

A creek runs through the backyard and I knew it was bound to happen....while I was taking pictures, he got a little too close and in he went. There was no more than two inches of water in the creek but there WAS plenty of green slime and he fell right into it.

The T's

This session was another blast from the past for me...I go all the way back to elementary school with C, and A and I go all the way back to middle school. It was great fun to catch up with them, find out how they met and see them so happily married.

Their son, M, is adorable and so animated. Once his parents got his huge smile going, it was non-stop until the goldfish snack came out and nap time was getting close...then I was able to capture a super sweet moment between Mom and M.

Cousins

The goal of this session was to get all four cousins (two under the age of two) looking at the camera at the same time- well, we tried and were able to get a few but I think this particular group shot is my favorite.

I took a few individual shots and and then we did a mini newborn session with Baby P... he was on his first trip to Oklahoma and was quite the trooper when we stripped him down. His dad was a trooper too when Baby P decided to "bless" him.

As for the shot of the back of G's shirt- these were the shirts that were worn for G's Heart Walk Team...G is a little miracle and has grown quite a bit since I photographed him last. Click here to see his Fall session.

It is funny what a small world we live in....when J called me to take family pictures it took a while but when I finally put everything together, I realized that T and I had gone to middle school and high school together...WOW-the memories that flooded my mind of the early 90's and my middle school years- SCARY!!!

All this to say, it was great fun watching T interact with his sweet family- great kids and a really neat wife.

The azaleas at Woodward Park were beautiful for this session...thanks for taking time to go all around the park with me, B's. It was great fun!

Baby C (and his Big Sis')

Baby C was only 8 days old when we took his pictures this week....and his big sister just cracks me up. Their parents are very dear friends of ours to the point that we all lived together when Oklahoma had it's terrible ice storm- so we know them quite well. Well enough that their mom probably does not mind me telling you that her daughter calls the baby, "Baby Pooper", it makes me smile every time she says it!

Baby C is such a beautiful baby and I love how excited his sister is to have him around...I honestly think she doesn't know what has happened to her world- just yet!

6 Day Old Baby K

Baby K's parents' and I go way back....they have a special place in our family as they introduced my husband and me and kept on insisting that we "try again" after the first date did not go too well...and, well, you know the rest of the story.

We have done a lot of "life" together....they were in our wedding, we were there for the birth of their first child and on and on....we have such great memories together.

Now they have added Baby Girl K to their family and she is just beautiful. I love how she still had her umbilical cord for her newborn portraits because it shows just how new she was when we took them.

Congratulations D, K and Big Brother K. She is such a gift!

M's Senior Session

It was funny to talk with M because suddenly I realized just how old I am getting...he is part of the graduating class of some of the first kids I taught back in my days as a middle school teacher. Again, how time flies!
